オリジナルNo.2は『My time belongs to you』という曲です。
この曲はもう１０年以上前に作りました。
この曲のタイトルですが、子供の頃よく親戚のおばさんからレコードで聴かされていたパティ・ペイジの曲「You belong to me」の「belong to」という言葉が何となく記憶に留まっていたのでこの言葉を使った歌詞を書いてみたい、と思っていたのがきっかけです。
恋愛に関する曲の歌詞は日本語だと何となく照れくさいので、拙い英語を承知の上で英語で歌詞を作りました。
男性がある日、ビビッと来た女性と付き合いはじめてメロメロになった状態をイメージしました。
